Speaker Series with Juana Gräter
When: Monday, March 27, 2023
Time: 19.00 CET
Juana Gräter is the Fundraising Director of Foundations and Institutions at World Bicycle Relief, an international non for profit organization founded in 2005 in response to the Indian Ocean tsunami.
Nearly one billion people in rural regions of the world live in communities far from the nearest paved road, walking for miles each day just to survive. On foot, individuals race against the sun to complete everyday tasks. Distance is a barrier to attending school, receiving healthcare, delivering goods to market, and other critical services needed to thrive.
World Bicycle Relief empowers people and communities. They have developed an efficient, innovative, and scalable model to empower communities of students, health workers, and entrepreneurs in rural regions with life-changing mobility.
As a Rotary Club, we seek to explore perspectives on service from across the world. The views of the speakers in our programs are their own, and unless stated otherwise, are not necessarily reflective of the views of our eClub or Rotary International.
